Two Brothers Roundhouse To Host Aurora Ukulele Festival

The festival promises performances from big names in the ukulele scene, workshops, vendors and an open mic.

AURORA, IL — The Aurora Ukulele Festival will return April 25-26, but this time it's taking place indoors, at Two Brothers Roundhouse.

Introduced in 2018, the City of Lights Ukulele Festival Society-hosted event promises performances from big names in the ukulele scene, workshops, vendors and an open mic. The festival was previously held in the streets of downtown Aurora.

  • 11:30 a.m. — Sign up for open mic
  • Noon to 1:30 p.m. — Open mic session
  • 2-3 p.m. — Hix Bros Ukulele Band
  • 3:15-4 p.m. — Hoapili with Hula 'O Puanani
  • 4:15-5 p.m. — Uncle Jon's Music, play-along workshop
  • 5:15-6 p.m. — Lisa Mannion
  • 6:15-7 p.m. — Open
  • 7:15-8 p.m. — Lisa, The Ukulele Fool
  • 8:15-9:15 p.m. — The Ukulele Kings
  • 9:30-10 p.m. — Open jam session to close the night

A performer workshop is scheduled Sunday:

  • Noon to 12:45 p.m. — Carl Hix
  • 1-1:45 p.m. — Ukulele Kings, Ben Hassenger and crew
  • 2- 2:45 pm — Lisa, The Ukulele Fool
  • 3-3:45 p.m. — Ukulele Kings, Ben Hassenger and crew
  • 4-4:45 p.m. — Lisa Mannion
  • 5-5:45 p.m. — Open
  • 6-6:45 p.m. — Lisa, The Ukulele Fool

Tickets to both days of the festival cost $40, excluding fees, while single-day tickets cost $25. Admission can be purchased via Eventbrite.
