Stroll 7 Beautiful Private Gardens Sunday On The BAPA Beverly/Morgan Park Garden Walk

CHICAGO—Find innovation, inspiration, and ideas for your home landscapes at the 7th annual Beverly/Morgan Park Garden Walk presented by the Beverly Area Planning Association this Sunday, July 12. The garden walk steps off from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
BAPA’s Garden Walk features seven exceptional private Beverly/Morgan Park gardens as well as three unique pollinator gardens at the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St., Chicago, this year’s event starting place.
Garden Walk begins with check-in and day-of ticket sales at Beverly Arts Center. Tours are self-guided and must begin by 1 p.m. Gardens are located throughout the community; the event is not suitable for walking. Each garden is distinctive for its style, variety of plantings, design components, and unique beauty. Tastings and experiences will be offered at garden locations.

Featured gardens include:
- A creatively envisioned compact space filled with glorious flowers and thriving vegetables; a uniquely rural urban farm that’s rooted in family history and creative agriculture located just steps away from a Metra commuter station;
- a sprawling double lot where built and natural forms nurture the principles of Native American traditions;
- an eclectic space inspired by the gardener’s love of quilting and ceramics artist; a glorious garden catalogue of plants that flourish in this region, includinglesser lesser-known native perennials and true showstoppers;
- traditionally styled space filled with lush plants and a peaceful pond filled with water lilies and koi;
- and a bungalow yard makes the most of space, productivity, and beauty at every turn of the season.
Experiences and tastings at the gardens will be offered by 411 Immuni-Tea, Calabria Imports, O’Kelly’s Bakery & Gourmet, Original Rainbow Cone, Franconello Italian Restaurant, Open Outcry Brewing Company, Nouvie de-alcoholized sparkling wine, Pete’s Market, violinist Brian Ostrega, Beverly Guitar Academy musician Richard Connors, The Quilter’s Trunk, GraceNotes ensemble, Hubbell Ceramics, Barraco’s and the Eugene S. Pike House Foundation.

Tickets are available in advance online at Beverly/Morgan Park Garden Walk through Sat., July 11 for $30 for current BAPA members and $35 for non-members. Day-of tickets are $35 for BAPA members and $40 for non-members on Sunday, July 12, 9:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. ONLY at the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St., Chicago. There is no rain date.
