BAPA's Community Health Expo Saturday 'An Investment In The Community' says Nourish With Nora Founder

Health Expo a staple in the Beverly area, attracting hundreds of residents eager to explore ways to improve their health, well-being.

Nora Forde is mildly amused that she will again this year be offering wellness tips and healthy lifestyle advice on the eve of Super Bowl Sunday, the second largest day for U.S. food consumption when more than $16.5 billion is spent on snacks.

“A healthy gut is less about avoiding one thing or one day, and more about supporting many small systems consistently,” said Forde. “Sure I see the irony in the day before Super Sunday but I know last year the hundreds of visitors left the health expo motivated toward healthier lifestyles. We expect more of the same Saturday.”

The founder of Nourish with Nora is a proud participant in Beverly Area Planning Association’s (BAPA) Community Health Expo on Saturday, February 7th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Ridge Park, 9625 S. Longwood Drive in Chicago.

“What a cool way to showcase what our neighborhood is working to put forward while building a healthier community as a whole,” said Forde. “What better investment in the community is there?”

While there’s something for everyone, this year’s theme focuses on “advancing community well-being through three key areas: Women, Children and Teen Health.”

The registered dietitian and author of the NourishwNora.com newsletters will greet attendees at her table.

“My hope is that the health expo and my newsletter offers a nugget or two to make food and health a little less complicated,” said Forde. “I’m a strong proponent of food's ability to prevent disease, which is why I'm committed to dedicating my life to helping others improve their relationship with it.”

Attendees can look forward to an exciting lineup of panel discussions featuring nutrition, health and wellness experts. Discussions will delve into nutrition science, exploring juicing, fasting, gut health and debunking popular food myths.

Additional discussions will focus on overall health and wellness, tackling crucial subjects such as mental health, menopause, per menopause, sexual wellness and pain management. The event will also highlight senior health, ensuring something for everyone, regardless of age or stage of life.
