CHICAGO—Visitation and funeral services for fallen Chicago Firefighter/EMT Michael Altman are set for March 26 and March 27 at St. Rita of Cascia Shrine Chapel, the Chicago Fire Department said in a tweet.

Altman was badly burned Monday while fighting a fire in an apartment building in the North Side Rogers Park neighborhood. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.

Visitation will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 26, with the funeral set for 10 a.m. Friday, March 27, at St. Rita of Cascia, 7040 S. Western Ave., Chicago.

The Yard Foundation, a fee-free crowdfunding platform by firefighters for firefighters, is accepting donations for the fallen firefighter, who was married with a young child at home and another baby on the way. Donations can be made at “Send Support To The Family of Mike Altman After Fatal On-Duty Injury.”
