Candidates Face Off Saturday In Southsiders For Peace Forum At Beverly Unitarian Church
Southsiders for Peace host candidates running for the Cook County board, state senate and congress Jan. 31, at Beverly Unitarian Church.
CHICAGO — Southsiders for Peace will host a forum this Saturday, Jan. 31, featuring a medley of candidates running in challenged democratic primaries. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the program running from 6 to 10 p.m. at Beverly Unitarian Church (“The Castle”), 10244 S. Longwood Drive, Chicago.
The candidates will meet, speak and take questions from residents. Confirming their appearance are:
Wesam Shahed, Cook County Board of Commissioners, Dist. 6
Kiana Belcher, Cook County Board of Commissioners, Dist. 5
* Kisha McCaskill, Cook County Board of Commissioners, Dist. 5
Ahmed Karrar, IL State Senate 14th District
Joey Ruzevich, IL 6th Congressional District
