Over 3,000 “No Kings” demonstrations are being organized in every congressional district by 50501 Movement, which means “50 protests, 50 states 1 movement.” Indivisible Chicago is galvanizing the Chicago-area protests.
The main “No Kings” event will take place in downtown Chicago from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Butler Field in Grant Park, East Jackson Drive & South Columbus Drive, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

South Suburban Relentless will assemble at 147th Street and LaGrange Road, Orland Park, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The grassroots activist group has been holding protests at the intersection for the past year. If you plan to go, learn the words to “We’re Not Going ToTake It” by Twisted Sister, the group’s anthem.
“NO KINGS will be BIG and it's going to spread hope and wipe away your fears and anxieties,” South Suburban Relentless said in a statement. “Hundreds have already signed up! Don't worry, you don't have to sign up just show up! We always have monitors on-site. And they are visible. If something concerning is happening, please call a monitor IMMEDIATELY. We politely ask that your signs be civil, as we do not want you mistaken for a counter-protester, and we would rather not alienate the community.”

Organizers are counting on a historic turnout of at least 12 million, or 3.5 percent of the total U.S. population. When 3.5 percent of the population of a country protests non-violently against an authoritarian government, that government is likely to fall from power, as formulated by political scientist Erica Spuithenworth in 2013. They ask that if you’re planning to attend a “No Kings” demonstration, please register at NO KINGS Suburban Chicago · Mobilize.
