CHICAGO — Following the U.S. attack on Venezuela and removal of its president, and last week’s deadly ICE shooting in Minnesota, Southsiders for Peace invites area residents to a rally this Saturday, Jan. 17.

The group will gather from 1 to 3 p.m. at 103rd Street and Western Avenue. The October ‘No Kings’ protest drew over 1,200 participants.

“The struggle for peace and justice continues,” the grassroots community group said in a statement.

Southsiders for Peace will be rallying for a free Palestine, no war with Venezuela and defending immigrant neighbors. The group is also calling to abolish ICE and Customs Border Patrol.

“We'll have signs and markers, but you should bring your own,” the group said.
