Southsiders For Peace Plan Rally Saturday For Peace, Justice, Unity, All Are Invited
All are invited to a rally for Saturday, Feb. 21, against the Trump Administration at 103rd Street and Western Avenue.

CHICAGO — Southsiders for Peace are planning a rally on Saturday, Feb. 21, for peace, justice and unity. Neighbors are asked to gather from 2 to 4 p.m. at 103rd Street and Western Avenue.
“We reject the lies and hatred vomited out by the Trump Administration. We stand with the victims of ICE violence,” the grassroots group said in a statement. “We stand with Somalis, Haitians, Venezuelans and all immigrants.”
Southsiders for Peace further stated: “We stand with trans and gay people, teachers, librarians, journalists and scientists. We stand with the people of Palestine, Iran, Venezuelas and Cuba facig military and economic agression.”

The group will have signs and markers, but you should bring your own. If you’re making a sign, Southsiders for Peace request that participants refrain from profanity.
The Southsiders for Peace steering committee meets the first Tuesday of the month. The third Tuesday of the month is the discussion meeting. Meetings are at Beverly Unitarian Church, 10244 S. Longwood, Chicago. Both meetings start at 7:30 p.m.
