Bolingbrook Police Issue 29 Speeding Citations During July Enforcement

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Bolingbrook Police issued 29 speeding citations and made two traffic law arrests during its July traffic safety campaign, the department shared in a news release.

The campaign, "Speeding Catches Up With You," ran from July 8 to Aug. 1 and encouraged safer driving habits. The department said the campaign was part of a statewide effort involving multiple law enforcement agencies, the Illinois Department of Transportation and the Illinois State Police, aiming to reduce highway fatalities and injuries associated with speeding.

In Bolingbrook, police issued 29 speeding citations, one seat belt citation, made two traffic law arrests, and issued 12 citations for other traffic law violations.

"We continue to urge all drivers traveling through our community to slow down, obey speed limits and drive responsibly," the department said.
