Bolingbrook's Pelican Harbor Reopens After 'Fecal Incident'

The pool underwent a specialized treatment over the weekend due to a "fecal incident involving diarrhea."

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Pelican Harbor outdoor aquatic park is open with normal hours on Monday after a "fecal incident" closed the pool for two days.

"Good news! Pelican Harbor Outdoor Aquatic Park will resume normal hours today! Thanks for your patience," the park district shared on its Facebook.

The pool underwent a specialized treatment over the weekend due to a "fecal incident involving diarrhea." The pool's closure was announced Saturday night, and it remained closed on Sunday.

Normal hours have resumed on Monday, and outdoor open swim is open from noon to 7 p.m. at the aquatic park, 200 Lindsey Lane.
