Annual back to school resource fair Thurs., Aug. 6

Registration is now open for DuPage Townships annual school supply/backpack giveaway.

The township will provide a grade-appropriate, filled backpack for DuPage Township school children to pick up on Thursday, Aug. 6 during the Tools For School Family Resource Fair.

Qualifying families must register in-person at the DuPage Township office 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at 241 Canterbury Lane, Bolingbrook. You will receive a ticket for each child's backpack of supplies.

Registration closes July 31.

The following items must be presented at registration: parent photo ID, a current utility bill and proof of Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) benefits such as SNAP, Medicaid, etc.

Tools for School
Tools for School, Thursday, Aug. 6 from 2- 6 p.m., aims to connect Township families with area resources to make for a successful school year.

All DuPage Township families are welcome to attend this free back-to-school festival on DuPage Township grounds, 241-251 Canterbury Lane, Bolingbrook.

The afternoon includes free hotdogs and chips, activities and crafts, health screenings as well as access to various family resources. For more information call 630-759-1317.
