“Currently there is no indication of foul play, and we are not investigating this as anything but deaths resulting from natural causes and/or substance abuse,” police said in a statement to NBC Chicago.
Police said two of the elderly people had been in hospice care before their deaths.
“We recognize how coincidental these unfortunate deaths appear, but there is nothing leading us to believe foul play was involved at this time,” police said.
