21 'Upscale' Homes Planned In Burr Ridge, Developer Has Long History
The subdivision will address market demand, particularly from an aging population, the developer said.

BURR RIDGE, IL – A Burr Ridge developer wants to build an "upscale" subdivision of 21 houses, called Cobblestone Ridge.
The development would be on a 17-acre site on Fox Lane, southwest of Wolf Road and 79th Street.
The developer, McNaughton Development, said the proposed subdivision resembled its Lakeside Pointe development in town.

A dozen of the planned homes would be in clusters, while nine others would be spread out.
McNaughton said the cluster housing is designed to attract Burr Ridge residents who want little to no maintenance responsibility. Others will be drawn to the traditional "luxury" estates, the company said.

"The concept plan for Cobblestone Ridge is a market-based plan, a result of regional growth, an aging population, an aging housing stock and a shifting market preference in housing, both in Burr Ridge and throughout the Chicagoland area," the developer said.
Burr Ridge's median age is 57, compared to DuPage County's average of 41.
McNaughton has been in business for 45 years. The firm has built developments throughout the western suburbs.
In 2022, McNaughton got in hot water with Burr Ridge officials as the firm proposed another local development.
The Plan Commission is set to review the proposal at 7 p.m. Monday at Gower Middle School, 7941 Madison St.
