Burr Ridge Business Damaged In Fire

BURR RIDGE, IL – Firefighters were called Sunday afternoon to a fire at a Burr Ridge business.

The fire occurred about 12:30 p.m. at Fauske & Associates, a hazard mitigation firm, at 16W070 83rd St., the Tri-State Fire District said in a news release. (Tri-State's news release on social media had stated the fire was at 16W030 83rd, which is the neighboring Double Good popcorn fundraising company. The district later said that's where the original call came from.)

The fire, which was contained to a storage shed and fence, was quickly put out, the district said.

Outside experts were called because various chemicals were in the shed, but they found no threat to the environment, the news release said.

A firefighter was reported as having been taken to Hinsdale Hospital for an injury unrelated to the structure fire.

Tri-State firefighters were assisted by agencies from several nearby towns.
