Human Feces On Walls, Old, Discarded Food Sitting Around In Dirty Dishes: Prosecutors Reveal
Augustine Igbedion, 35, hails from Lombard. He has remained in the Will County Jail since his latest arrest, May 21, near Godley.

GODLEY, IL — It does not happen very often, but the Will County Sherif's Office made an arrest last week in the tiny unincorporated community of Godley, just on the outskirts of Braidwood, and as a result of that incident, prosecutors have filed a petition to deny pretrial release for 35-year-old Augustine Igbedion, who comes from Lombard.
Igbedion is charged with one crime of domestic battery. According to the prosecution's filing, Will County sheriff's deputies Stelling and Koncel were sent to Godley at 7:42 a.m. on May 21 for a domestic disturbance on East Mary Lane.
The sheriff's deputies found the home in squalor with human feces on the walls, dirty laundry scattered throughout the residence, old, discarded food sitting around in dirty dishes and the inside of the refrigerator filthy with spilled liquids that were dried on the shelves, prosecutors indicated.

Leading up to Igbedion's arrest, the 911 dispatchers heard a man in the background of the victim's emergency 911 call say he was going to kill her, and he also stated he was going to die today, court documents show.
At the scene, sheriff's deputies saw the woman and Igbedion exit the front door and the woman had an injury to the left side of her face. Igbedion was seen grabbing and pulling the woman by her arms and they appeared to be struggled over an unknown item, prosecutors noted. The victim told the sheriff's deputies the item was her handgun.

Eventually, the sheriff's deputies interviewed the woman who was crying and holding her head. She told the deputies that Igbedion struck her across the left side of her cheek area with the handgun and struck her in the back with the gun. She had a lump on the back of her head and visible injuries to her face, court files revealed.
"She stated they were fighting both verbally and physically all day and he caused the bruising," prosecutors outlined. "Augustine made spontaneous utterance to the incident stating he was struggling with (her) over the handgun. He stated he removed it from her purse while they were inside of the residence. He did not state he struck her with the handgun. Augustine also stated they were arguing all day because (she) was accusing him of cheating with another woman and he was upset she was smoking crack all day."
Igbedion has remained in the Will C0unty Jail for the past week, jail logs show.
