The Lucky Tile Classic 🏆
Have you been curious about playing in a mahjong tournament? This is your chance!
Join us on Sunday, September 27th at Hotel 55 (soon to be The Rivvy Hotel) in River North for The Lucky Tile Classic, The Mahjong Society’s first annual American mahjong tournament. Registration is from 9:00–9:45 AM, with tournament play beginning promptly at 10:00 AM.
Whether it’s your first tournament or you’re an experienced competitor, get ready for a full day of mahjong, friendly competition, and plenty of opportunities to meet and play with fellow members of the Chicago mahjong community—all while competing for exciting prizes.

You should already be comfortable playing American mahjong independently, but no previous tournament experience is required.

9:00–9:45 AM — Registration
9:45–10:00 AM — Welcome & Announcements
10:00–11:00 AM — Round 1
11:10 AM–12:20 PM — Round 2
12:20–1:30 PM — Lunch
1:30–2:30 PM — Round 3
2:40–3:40 PM — Round 4
4:00–4:15 PM — Awards Ceremony
There will be a 10-minute break between rounds for table rotations and score verification.
