"Tommy touched countless lives with his kindness and warmth, always bringing joy to those around him," organizers for the fund-raiser said. "His presence was a source of comfort and happiness, and his loss has left a deep ache in the hearts of his family and all who cared for him."

Organizers say the fundraiser will help cover funeral expenses and medical bills following his death, while easing the financial burden on his mother, sisters and other loved ones. As of Monday morning, the GoFundMe has brought in more than $56,000.
