National Night Out Cookout To Feature Helicopter Visit, K-9 Demo In Lake In The Hills
Free community event will include food, games, emergency vehicles and activities for all ages Aug. 4.
LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — Residents can celebrate National Night Out with the Lake in the Hills Police Department’s annual community cookout on Tuesday.
The free family event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. outside the new Police Headquarters, with parking available at Village Hall, 600 Harvest Gate. Guests can enjoy free hot dogs, chips and pop, meet the crew of the LifeNet helicopter when it flies in, watch a K-9 demonstration and explore police, fire and public works vehicles.
The event will also include games, big trucks, plows and an opportunity to try DUI fatal vision impairment goggles as part of an evening focused on community connections with local first responders, according to the Lake in the Hills Police Department.
