Darien Store Now Has Power After 3 Days Without
Only a tiny fraction of ComEd customers are still affected.
DARIEN, IL – Darien's Jewel store had been closed for three days because of a storm-caused power outage on Monday.
On Thursday afternoon, the city reported that power returned to Jewel.
According to ComEd's outage map late Thursday morning, Jewel has been one of a few customers in the immediate area without power.

On Monday, power outages occurred around the Chicago area, affecting hundreds of thousands of customers.
As of Thursday morning, 28,000 customers were still without power. They make up about half a percent of ComEd's customer base.
