DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Four thousand dollars worth of fiber optic wiring and cables were stolen from a work site in Downers Grove, according to a police report.
On Feb. 16, police got a call from foreman with ADB Infrastructure reporting that 1,650 pounds of a spool containing cables and fiber optic wires had been stolen from a secured work site in the 5235 Katrine Avenue. The foreman told police there had been three spools on the site that were to be installed on a cellphone tower.
He said the spool was attached to a pallet and would have required a low-bed trailer or a forklift to have been taken from the site, the police report said.
