Downers Grove To Vote On Ogden Avenue Car Dealership Redevelopment

The village will vote Tuesday on a redevelopment agreement and planned unit development for 330 E. Ogden.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Downers Grove village commissioners are set to vote Monday on ordinances for a planned unit development and redevelopment for a Lamorghini, Bentley and Rolls Royce dealerships at 330 Ogden Ave.

Petitioners have proposed a two-phase construction project to build a 36,245 square ft. dealership. Phase one would include work to replace the building at 310 Ogden Ave. with a 18,812 square foot Rolls Royce service center and showroom, along with a 3,456 square foot mezzanine.

Phase two would include demolishing the building at 330 Ogden Ave. and adding 17,433 square feet to the 310 Ogden Building that would house Lamorghini and Bentley showrooms and an automotive service center.

The village's planning and zoning commission gave the proposals a positive recommendation at their June 16 meeting.

According to village documents, the redevelopment aligns with the Guiding DG Comprehensive Plan in that "auto businesses benefit from visibility and access without significantly contributing to traffic along the corridor or impact on nearby residential areas."
