The best friends said they chose their games intentionally the night they won Illinois Lottery's FastPlay Twenty 20s jackpot.
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — When BFFs Bryan and Joseph play the Illinois Lottery, it's not unusual for them to play with a group of friends. This night, though, was different. This night, they got together to play as a pair. This night, they won $518,309 in the FastPlay Twenty 20s jackpot.
“We were being intentional about the games we chose that night,” Bryan told Illinois Lottery. “When the winning message popped up, it took a second to sink in. We just stared at each other, shocked and in disbelief.”
For Joseph, the big win was perfectly timed, as he had just retired.

He told Illinois Lottery, "This jackpot gives me the freedom to spend more time with my family and the flexibility to explore how best to reinvest this lucky break.”
Joseph and Bryan's win is among 142,000 Illinois Lottery wins, totaling over $7 million so far this year in the FastPlay Twenty 20s game.
