DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A Maywood woman has been charged in connection with the death of Uber Eats driver Daniel Figueroa, 28, of Downers Grove, Chicago police said.
Montoya Perry, 33, was charged with vehicular hijacking and murder Tuesday. Police said she was arrested about 10 hours after she participated in taking a vehicle from Figueroa, who was struck by the vehicle as Perry fled.
Figueroa was found dead in the 5500 block of West Flournoy around 2 a.m. Monday, shortly after he delivered an order to Loretto Hospital. Video surveillance suggests he was targeted in a carjacking.
