Elgin Area Chamber announces board leadership
The Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its executive committee board leadership and new board members for 2023.
The 2023 Elgin Area Chamber board chair is Yaneth Medina, president, Elgin State Bank; vice chair-Yvonne Irving, membership, KCT Credit Union; treasurer-Dekovia Livingston, Livingston Taxes, Inc.; secretary-Carol Gieske, Elgin Area Chamber; and past-chair- Michael Wong, attorney, Amundsen Davis, LLC, partner.
“It is an honor to serve as this year’s chair,” said Medina. “The chamber is dedicated to connecting leaders and providing relevant and engaging resources. In our continuing efforts to engage for a thriving community, we will collaborate with our businesses, partners, and stakeholders to achieve our goals and success.”
The six new Chamber board members are: Fernando Gruta, Ascension Saint Joseph - Elgin; Rolando Guerrero, Grand Victoria Casino; Steve Migala, Lavelle Law; John Talkington, Motorola Solutions; Sara Vaince, Esq., AT&T, and Mike Warren, Rieke’s Office Interiors/Brittain’s Car Wash.

Gruta is the Administrator for Ascension Saint Joseph - Elgin since July 2020, after effectively serving as Interim Administrator for the hospital since April 2020 through COVID. Guerrero is the Senior Vice President/General Manager of Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin. Migala is a shareholder of Lavelle Law and oversees its transactional practice groups. Talkington is Director, Supply Chain Operations, at Motorola Solutions, Inc. Vaince, Director of External and Legislative Affairs AT&T, is an accomplished attorney specializing in telecom. Warren is the Workplace Culture Consultant at Rieke Office Interiors and co-owner of Brittain’s Car Wash and Brittain’s Touchless Wash.
