Elmhurst Pools Missing Something This Summer
The park district is making an accommodation due to the issue.
ELMHURST, IL – The Elmhurst Park District's two public pools are without concession stands this summer, but officials are making an accommodation due to this issue.
In response to a Patch inquiry, Jim Rogers, the district's executive director, confirmed Sunday that the Smalley and East End pools were without concessions because the district was unable to find a qualified vendor for the season.
"In order to minimize any disruption this might cause and to help make things easier and more convenient for families and guests, we are allowing outside food and non-alcoholic beverages so long as they are consumed in the appropriate dining areas at the pools," Rogers said in an email. "This will enable folks to bring their own food and also to utilize online food delivery services as well."
