Fleeing Suspects Strike Elmhurst Pole, Causing Outage: Police
Both suspects were taken to hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
ELMHURST, IL – An outside police agency pursued suspects into Elmhurst over the weekend, with the suspects' car crashing into a pole and causing a power outage, Elmhurst police said.
The driver lost control and struck a ComEd pole on Butterfield Road shortly before midnight Saturday, police said. The car's two occupants were taken to hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Power was out for about four hours.
