U.S. Chamber To Visit Business With Elmhurst Location

The event will focus on burnout and chronic stress among entrepreneurs and leadership teams.

ELMHURST, IL – A counseling practice with a location in Elmhurst is set to host members of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Small Business Council on Thursday for a session focused on burnout and chronic stress among entrepreneurs and leadership teams.

Melissa Bercier, owner of Couch Clarity, is leading the visit at her practice.

The Elmhurst location is at 101 and 129 W. Vallette Street.,

Elmhurst officials are expected to attend the event, Bercier said.

The visit is expected to include guidance on how to recognize early signs and symptoms of burnout, how prolonged stress affects decision-making and company health, and practical coping strategies for participants to bring back to their organizations.

A central part of the visit will be an introduction to Couch Clarity's "walk and talk" therapy model along the Illinois Prairie Path behind the office. The Couch Clarity model is intended to reduce anxiety and depression while encouraging movement, clarity of thought and what the practice describes as more grounded leadership.
