Shore Community Services to Host Annual Meeting on June 26
Honoring Community Partners, Staff, and Individual Achievements

MORTON GROVE, IL — Shore Community Services invites families, local business leaders, elected officials, and supporters to its upcoming Annual Meeting on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The event will take place at the Joseph Koenig, Sr. Training Center, located at 8035 Austin Avenue in Morton Grove.
The Annual Meeting serves as a vital gathering for stakeholders to review the organization’s major accomplishments over the past year and look ahead to strategic plans and initiatives for the upcoming year.
This year’s featured guest speaker will be State Representative Kevin Olickal, who will address the gathering regarding recent legislative initiatives aimed at supporting and empowering the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) community.

In addition to looking toward the future, Shore will take time to celebrate the outstanding contributions of local partners, dedicated staff, and the inspiring individuals they serve. This
year's award presentations include:
● Community Partner Award: Presented to the Maine-Niles Association of Special Recreation (M-NASR) for their exceptional collaboration and commitment to inclusive
community programming.
● Employer of the Year: Awarded to Goodwill Industries for their dedication to creating meaningful integrated employment opportunities.
● Volunteer of the Year: Presented to Susan Canter.
● Personal Achievement Awards: Recognizing several outstanding individuals served by Shore for their incredible personal growth and milestones over the past year.
● The Dr. Carl Lieberman "Values in Action" Awards: Honoring exemplary Shore staff members who consistently demonstrate the organization’s core values through their daily work and dedication.
