16 Authors Set To Appear Sunday At Evergreen Park Library Ever-Read Local Author Festival

EVERGREEN PARK, ILEvergreen Park Public Library invites readers of all ages to come together for the Ever-Read Local Author Festival. The event, taking place on Sunday, May 3, from 1 to 3 p.m. will feature various programs and activities designed to inspire literacy, creativity, and local connection.

The Author Festival offers a unique opportunity to meet 16 incredible local authors representing a diverse range of genres and age groups. From children’s picture books and middle grade stories to adult fiction and non-fiction, there is something for every reader in the community.

  • Book Signings and Sales: Meet local talent and purchase signed copies of your favorite new reads directly from the authors.
  • Storytime Feature: Bring your child for a special reading by local children's author Olivia DeSmit, as she shares the charming tales of Edwin the Rabbit’s adventures.
  • Big Writing Machine Workshops: Gain insights and share ideas to jumpstart your own creative journey from author James Klise.
  • Cartooning Workshops: Learn a new creative skill in a hands-on environment with author Dan Dougherty.

Throughout the day, attendees will also be able to meet and greet local authors like Rebecca Garner, Victoria Hamel, E.E. Hornburg, Z. Jefferies, and many more.
