Evergreen Park Plans Fun, Educational Open House And Safety Fair, This Saturday
The Evergreen Park Fire Department will host an open house this Saturday, Sept. 19, including kids' activities, safety demos and more.
EVERGREEN PARK, IL—Bring your fire engine loving kids and grandkids over to the Evergreen Park Fire Department’s annual open house and safety fair this Saturday, Sept. 19.. The open house runs from 1 to 3 p.m. at the firehouse, 9000 S. Kedzie Ave.
The fire department has cooked up all sorts of fun activities for the kiddos and their parents. Kids can touch a truck and slide down a fireman's pole, while their parents can get information on planning and practicing an escape plan at home. Evergreen Park's bravest will also show parents how to safely install a child's car seat and the correct way of using a fire extinguisher.
An auto extrication and a puppet show are also featured. Free refreshments will be offered. The open house is FREE and all are invited.
