Man Slain At Suburban Amazon Facility, Food Delivery Driver Wanted: Village
Police say the suspect, a food delivery driver, was still at large.
MATTESON, IL — A man was shot and killed at a Matteson Amazon facility late Sunday, the Village of Matteson said.
The Village said that police officers responded at 10:54 p.m. June 28 to the facility. Officers arrived within three minutes and found an employee with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso, near the building's front entrance.
Amazon told Patch the employee was employed by a third-party vendor, and not employed by Amazon.

According to the Village's statement, an argument between the victim employee and a food delivery driver turned into a "physical altercation." The offender shot the victim several times.
The entire incident took place in the parking lot outside the facility, the Village said.
Detectives from the Matteson Police Department continue to investigate the incident and will work with South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force to identify and charge the offender.
"This is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public," the Village said.
A man was also shot and killed during a "personal dispute" earlier this month at an Amazon facility in Melrose Park. In that incident, a 20-year-old man was charged with first-degree murder.
