New Restaurant Moving Into Frankfort's Trolley Barn

FRANKFORT, IL — A new restaurant will open within the Trolley Barn at 11 S. White St., in downtown Frankfort. At its Monday meeting, the Frankfort Village Board approved a special use permit for Avocado Theory.

A public hearing was held in June for the new restaurant.

According to Board documents, Avocado Theory has several locations and has a mission to "explore healthier food options."

The founder of the business, Krunal Patel, told the Plan Commission that the restaurant plans to open Nov. 1.

No major changes will be made to the existing space, and there will be seating within the enclosed patio, according to Board documents.

Avocado Theory has four locations: Tinley Park, Naperville, Lincolnshire and Wheaton. The avocado-based restaurant has menu items like avocado fries, avocado bacon egg and cheese croissant, avocado toast, avocado buffalo chicken wrap, avocado creamy mushroom soup and more. Wellness juices and smoothies are also on the menu.
