Emergency Sanitary Sewer Repair Scheduled Near Geneva Golf Course

GENEVA, IL — A section of South Street in Geneva is closed Tuesday to make way for an emergency sanitary sewer repair, city officials said.

South Street from Seventh Street to Western Avenue closed at 8 a.m., with repairs expected to be completed the same day, weather permitting, according to an alert. The repair was originally scheduled for Monday.

South Street remains accessible to local traffic in order for residents to reach South Eighth Street and Mead Court. A detour route using the following streets is posted for other drivers:

• James Street
• Kaneville Road
• Burgess Road
• South Street
