Kryska Named New Deputy Village Manager Of Glen Ellyn

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Brett Kryska was recently appointed as the new Deputy Village Manager of Glen Ellyn.

Kryska comes to Glen Ellyn from Schiller Park, where he served as village manager. His experience also includes 12 years working for the Village of Grayslake.

“Brett brings the kind of well-rounded municipal experience that will make an immediate impact,” Village Manager Mark Franz said in a statement.

Franz added, “He understands both the day-to-day work of municipal government and the long-term planning necessary to move us forward as a community. That perspective will be especially valuable as we develop a new strategic plan and prepare for upcoming projects.”

Kryska holds a bachelor's degree in in political science and a master's degree in public administration from Northern Illinois University.

“I am excited to join an experienced team and become part of a great community like Glen Ellyn,” said Kryska. “I look forward to working closely with staff and the Board to execute Glen Ellyn strategic initiatives and continue delivering exceptional service to residents.”

Kryska will begin his role as deputy village manager on Aug. 31.
