The Glenview Farmers Market began in 1988, when the Glenview Women of Today started it as a way to provide the community with healthy and fun food options. Farmers, flower growers and residents gathered Saturdays at Jackman Park to enjoy fresh food and support local businesses.

The Glenview Park District began managing the weekly market in 2007 and moved it to Historic Wagner Farm.

Market vendors sell products grown within 200 miles of Glenview, including seasonal produce, meat, eggs, cheese, bread, pastries, fresh-cut flowers, coffee, chocolates, French pastries, smoked fish, herbs and spices, honey and empanadas.

Free parking is available across the street from the market in the Historic Wagner Farm lot and at Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, at the corner of Lake and Wagner roads.

There is no parking on Wagner Road, and visitors are asked to cross at the crosswalk for safety.

Wagons will be available for shoppers to use at the market and to carry purchases back to their vehicles. Designated spots will be available in the parking lot to return the wagons, and volunteers will collect them periodically.
