Glow Sauna Studios Plans November Opening In Glenview

GLENVIEW, IL — A new wellness studio offering infrared sauna and light therapy is targeting a mid-November opening in Glenview.

Glow Sauna Studios is under construction at 1472 Waukegan Road, with a mid-November opening planned, according to local owner Shamoon Khan.

"Glow is centered around infrared sauna, red light therapy and recovery, and we are building the Glenview studio with a strong local partnership focus," Khan tells Patch.

Khan said conversations are already underway with area fitness, family and wellness organizations, with plans to bring several of those groups together for the studio's grand opening.

"We are planning a Grand Opening that brings several of those groups together," Khan said.

According to the company's Glenview website, the studio will offer infrared sauna cabins and private sauna pods, along with red, green and blue light therapy, chromotherapy and halotherapy. Services will be offered by appointment.

The company describes its infrared cabins as using near-, mid- and far-infrared technology, while its solo pods offer private, zone-based infrared sessions. Glow also markets light therapy as a stand-alone service or an addition to sauna sessions.

Glow says its services are offered in a non-medical wellness setting and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease. The company advises customers to consult a health care provider before beginning a new wellness practice when appropriate.

Founders Club

Ahead of the opening, the Glenview location is offering a Founders Club limited to 100 memberships, Khan said.

According to a promotional flyer provided to Patch, the Ultimate Glow founders membership is being offered for $99 per month, compared with a listed regular price of $169. It includes unlimited infrared sauna use in a cabin or pod, two friend passes per month, two red light tower add-ons per month and two light therapy bed sessions per month.

A Glow Essentials founders membership is being offered for $79 per month, compared with a listed $109 regular price, and includes unlimited use of a sauna pod or light therapy bed.

The flyer says the memberships are month-to-month with no commitment and may be paused.

The website currently lists new-client introductory pricing of $15 for an infrared pod, $25 for an infrared cabin and $15 for a light therapy bed, with those services marked "coming soon."

Khan said he hopes the studio becomes connected to the surrounding community rather than operating simply as another standalone wellness business.

"We already have conversations underway with area fitness, family and wellness organizations," Khan said.

Planned hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
