$8,667 Watch Reported Missing: Glenview Police Blotter

GLENVIEW, IL — A watch valued at $8,667 was reported missing from a former Glenview residence after its owner moved out, according to the Glenview Police Department’s latest incident summary.

Other reports included a stolen vehicle, several vehicle break-ins Sept. 27 and a resident receiving increasingly disturbing packages and hundreds of unwanted phone calls. The department also reported arrests on DUI, domestic battery and speeding charges.

The following information comes from Glenview Police Department reports. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Those charged are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

THEFT

• A resident reported a watch valued at $8,667 was discovered missing from their former Glenview residence after they moved out. The report was made at the police department at 2:24 p.m. Sept. 22.
• A package was reported stolen in the 1500 block of Sunset Ridge Road. The report was made at the police department at 6:25 p.m. Sept. 22.
• A wallet was reported stolen while its owner was at a business in the 2100 block of Pfingsten Road on Sept. 23. The theft was reported at 2:20 p.m. Sept. 24.

RETAIL THEFT

• An unnamed person was issued a village ordinance citation for theft of less than $150 after loss prevention staff reported seeing the person pass the final point of sale without paying for two items valued at $23.98. Officers responded to the business in the 2200 block of Willow Road at 11:23 a.m. Sept. 23. The person was also banned from the business for one year.

DAMAGE TO VILLAGE PROPERTY

• Officers found several vehicles at the south parking garage at 2701 Aviator Lane at 10:48 p.m. Sept. 25. After dispersing the vehicles, officers noticed a damaged planter.

BATTERY

• Officers responded to a business in the 1400 block of Milwaukee Avenue at 11:48 p.m. Sept. 26, for a battery report. The two parties gave conflicting accounts, and neither signed a complaint.

VEHICLE BURGLARIES

• Someone entered a vehicle in the 2700 block of Charlie Court and took personal items. Officers responded at 7:55 a.m. Sept. 27.
• A key fob was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the 3700 block of Timbers Edge Lane. Officers responded at 9:05 a.m. Sept. 27.
• Someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the 4100 block of Hampton Court, but nothing was reported missing. Officers responded at 9:34 a.m. Sept. 27.
• A resident in the 4000 block of West Lake Avenue reported someone attempted to enter their vehicle. Nothing was reported missing. Officers responded at 1:48 p.m. Sept. 27.
• Someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the 4300 block of Hammersmith Lane, but nothing was reported missing. Officers responded at 5:13 p.m. Sept. 27.
• Someone entered a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 4600 block of Lilac Avenue, but nothing was reported missing. Officers responded at 5:15 p.m. Sept. 27.

VEHICLE THEFT

• A resident in the 4300 block of Westview Drive reported someone entered their garage and stole their vehicle from the driveway. Officers responded at 4:38 p.m. Sept. 27.

HARASSMENT

• A resident reported receiving multiple unsolicited and increasingly disturbing packages, along with hundreds of unwanted phone calls. The report was made at the police department at 5:34 p.m. Sept. 28.

DUI

• Martin Bolotin, 27, of Round Lake, was arrested at 1:56 a.m. Sept. 25 in the 200 block of Waukegan Road and charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop. Bolotin was given a court date of 9 a.m. Nov. 9 in Room 103 at the Skokie Courthouse.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

• Melissa Bixby, 49, of Glenview, was arrested at 6:15 p.m. Sept. 21 in the 2100 block of Rugen Road and charged with domestic battery following a domestic incident call. Bixby was taken to the Glenview Police Department to await transport to the Skokie Courthouse.
• Serge Parker, 52, of Glenview, was arrested at 5 p.m. Sept. 22 and charged with domestic battery following a domestic incident. Parker was taken to the Glenview lockup, processed and held pending a hearing Sept. 23.

SPEEDING

• Khyati Patel, 28, of Morton Grove, was arrested at 6:15 p.m. Sept. 21 in the 800 block of East Lake Avenue and charged with speeding 26 mph over the limit following a traffic stop. Patel was given a court date of 9 a.m. Nov. 9 at the Skokie Courthouse.
