Here's How To Get A Vote-By-Mail Application In Lake County

The primary election will be on March 17.

Voters wishing to get a vote by mail application ahead of the March 17 general primary election can do so now.

Vote by mail is a secure, convenient, and accessible voting option available to all registered voters in Lake County. Voters can apply online, by mail or in person to receive their ballot for the 2026 primary election.

“Today marks the official start of the Vote by Mail application period, and we encourage all eligible voters to take advantage of this accessible and secure voting option,” said Lake County Clerk Anthony Vega. “Planning ahead ensures that every voter has the opportunity to participate in our democratic process in the way that works best for them.”

Under Illinois law, ballots will be mailed to voters starting on February 5, 2026, for those who have submitted a completed application. Voters may track the receipt of their application and ballot at LakeVoterPower.info.
