North Shore Distillery Is Looking To Move: Officials

The popular distillery could move from Green Oaks to Mundelein.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — North Shore Distillery is planning to relocate from Green Oaks to Mundelein, where it will move into an industrial building on East Orchard Street this summer.

Village officials responded positively to the proposal, praising the fit for a craft distillery and signaling support for its plans to pursue a local liquor license during a meeting Monday night, according to the Daily Herald. The owners outlined plans for a small tasting and retail area on-site, along with a separate tasting room elsewhere in Mundelein—preferably in the downtown area.

If approved, the move would allow the longtime Lake County distillery to expand both production and customer experiences in a new setting, according to the article.
