America250 Theme Night Planned for Food Truck Thursday in Highland Park
The city and Ravinia District SSA 17 property owners are planning a patriotic Food Truck Thursday event.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — Highland Park will mark an America250 Theme Night during Food Truck Thursday next week in the Ravinia District, with food, music and family activities planned.
The City of Highland Park and the Ravinia District Special Service Area 17 property owners are hosting the themed evening. The event will take place on July 9 on Dean Avenue between Roger Williams and St. Johns avenues and Jens Jensen Park, 486 Roger Williams Ave., Highland Park. Food truck dining is scheduled from 4:30 p.m. to dusk.
Hundreds of al fresco diners will gather to celebrate America's landmark milestone, wear red, white and blue and take part in interactive activities under the summer skies. Live music performances are scheduled from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The Diamondback Trio is set to begin at 5 p.m. with what the announcement describes as a family-friendly mix of classic country hits. The Blue Rose Band is scheduled to follow at 6 p.m. as the evening's headlining act, performing Americana favorites from folk to rock.
Several activity stations are also planned. The Chicago Stars will host soccer activities and LEGO building. Sugaring NYC is set to offer a red, white and blue Selfie Station, while Ivy Rehab for Kids will lead a "Fireworks in a Jar" hands-on experiment.

The Custom Framer is expected to offer patriotic prints with custom sizing and special pricing, according to the announcement. McCaw Dermatology will provide patriotic giveaways.
