The Art Center Highland Park looks ahead to surprising exhibitions in the new year

HIGHLAND PARK, IL- with a new year on the horizon, The Art Center Highland Park looks forward to the coming months and how its art shows can impact the North Shore, living up to its goal to be a sophisticated alternative to Chicago or Milwaukee area galleries.

January: The Art Center holds its annual members and faculty exhibition at the start of the year, with nearly 100 teachers and members of TAC exhibiting their very best work. This show, titled In View 2026, continues until January 17.

February: This is TAC’s youth art month, featuring the works of local school districts 112 and 113. For many of these student artists, this is the first time they will be showcasing their work in a professional gallery setting. The Art Center offers these students the chance to celebrate their creativity and get a taste of what working as a professional artist could look like, opening their eyes and expanding their horizons.

March: TAC will showcase the work of George Klauba, a lifelong artist whose work spans generations and institutions. His paintings are inspired by body-art, and he will be joined by a group of tattoo artists in an exhibition titled Beyond the Needle.

April: The Art Center expands its opportunities for young artists by welcoming the Central Suburban League: this collection of 12 schools brings the very best of student artists to the forefront, and provides a platform for young creatives from surrounding communities.

May: This is an important month for TAC in which it holds its annual Spring Benefit. This year’s benefit artist is celebrity photographer Sandro Miller, who will be showcasing an exhibition of works from his series featuring members of Chicago’s historic, Highland Park-born Steppenwolf Theatre.
