Highland Park Police To Hold Saturday Trainings At Red Oak School
Police vehicles may be visible near the school over the next three Saturdays.
HIGHLAND PARK, IL — Highland Park police will conduct law enforcement training at Red Oak School over the next few weeks, law enforcement announced Friday.
The day-long Saturday sessions are scheduled for April 18, April 25 and May 2 at the school.
All training will take place indoors, according to the notice. People who live near or travel through the area around Red Oak School may notice a number of police vehicles in the neighborhood while the training is underway.

Signage will be posted while the training is in session. That means residents and others nearby may see posted notices at the school during the scheduled training days.
The police department trainings are part of a broader public safety effort.

“We appreciate our partnership with the City in hosting these training sessions, which are an important part of protecting student and public safety,” authorities said in a statement.
