Theft At A Garage Sale: Highland Park Crime Blotter

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following is the most recent crime blotter from the Highland Park Police Department.

THEFT

• Vehicle - July 14 at 7:41 a.m.
  • Staff from D&R Autoworks at 1454 Old Deerfield Road told police that a catalytic converter was taken from a vehicle. Police estimated that the damage was worth $2,000 to $3,000.
• Retail - July 15 at 12:17 p.m.
  • Staff at the Target located at 2099 Skokie Valley Road told police that a man took $20 worth of merchandise without paying.
• Retail - July 16 at 3:09 p.m.
  • Staff at the Target located at 2099 Skokie Valley Road told police that a woman switched a barcode of lesser value on an item. Police said the difference in price was about $95.
• Property - July 18 at 11:27 a.m.
  • A resident having a garage sale in the 400 block of Havenwood Avenue told police that somebody had taken their fanny pack that had about $100 cash from the sale inside as well as their ID.
