Downtown Clarendon Hills Restaurant Closes After 4 Years

The eatery's space is on the market, offering entrepreneurs a "rare chance" to open in an "affluent" town.

CLARENDON HILLS, IL – After four years, Thassos Authentic Greek Restaurant at 1 Walker Ave. in downtown Clarendon Hills has closed.

It apparently shut down in the last few days; it had advertised its offerings for Mother's Day.

In 2022, owner Nikolaos Fatouros opened the eatery in the former site of The George.

The Glover Team, a real estate agency in Downers Grove, published information about the restaurant's property on its website nearly two weeks ago.

"A fully built-out restaurant space located at 1 Walker Ave in Downtown Clarendon Hills is preparing to come to market, offering restaurateurs and hospitality groups a rare chance to open in one of the most affluent and desirable suburban communities in Chicagoland," the firm said.
