Ex-Hinsdale Central Coach Charged With Sex Crimes: Cops
The district fired him. He has taught PE at a suburban middle school.

HINSDALE, IL – The former assistant boys lacrosse coach at Hinsdale Central High School was arrested Saturday on charges involving sex crimes, authorities said.
Alex Buetikofer, 38, who lives on Windsor Drive in Lisle, also has been a physical education teacher at Freedom Middle School in Berwyn, where his current status is unclear.
In a statement Saturday night, Hinsdale High School District 86 said the charges involve Buetikofer's employment as a teacher in another school district.

District 86 said it was informed March 18 of improper conduct involving Buetikofer in another district, which it did not identify.
The district said it then promptly ended Buetikofer's involvement as a lacrosse coach, Superintendent Michael Lach said in the statement. Buetikofer was officially terminated March 26, the superintendent said.

On Saturday, Buetikofer was arrested on four counts of solicitation to meet a child, two counts of grooming, two counts of aggravated battery and one count of traveling to meet a minor for a sex offense, according to Kendall County Jail Records.
In the statement, Lach said District 86 had no information that any of its students were involved. The district said it was fully cooperating with the investigation.
"If your child has had any contact with Alex Buetikofer that raises concerns, or if you have any information you believe is important to share, we strongly encourage you to contact your building principal as soon as possible so that we can respond appropriately," Lach said.
