'Click It Or Ticket' Campaign Underway In Lockport For Memorial Day

The enforcement campaign, running May 15-26, is focusing on seat belt violations.

LOCKPORT, IL — The Lockport Police Department is joining law enforcement agencies across the state for a “Click It or Ticket” campaign running May 15-26 during the Memorial Day travel period, the department shared in a news release.

“Buckle up every trip, every time,” said police. “Seat belts save lives, and we are committed to keeping our roads safe.”

Lockport officers will conduct high-visibility enforcement day and night, focusing on seat belt violations, police said. Illinois law requires all drivers and passengers to wear seat belts.
