Martha Bragg (nee Cox)
Age 77, of Shorewood, IL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Morris Hospital. She was born on April 18, 1948, in Grafton, West Virginia, to Ira and Cora Edith (Bennett) Cox.

She was married to Joseph Bragg in 1964, and soon after they made their home in Illinois, settling in Shorewood, where she resided for many years.She was a devoted member of Grace Bible Church, where she faithfully served as a children’s church teacher and as an Awana Club leader for over 20 years, touching the lives of many young people.
She was employed at Berryman Transfer for a number of years and following her retirement, continued working at Wal-Mart in Shorewood.

She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.She cherished her family deeply and found great joy in being an active part of their lives.She especially loved giving gifts, often sharing her talent through beautifully hand-crafted embroidery projects made with care and love.
Martha is survived by her beloved children, Donna (Joe) Kren and Daniel Bragg; seven adoring grandchildren, Tamra (John) Roseland, John Kren, and Michael (Travis Johnson) Kren, and Aidan (Kimmie) Bragg, Terrick Bragg, Zyler Bragg, and Easton Bragg; loving three great-grandchildren, Jaxon Roseland, Colton Roseland, and Vivian Roseland; two siblings, Mary (the late Richard) Litzinger and Robert (Vickie) Cox; sisters-in-law, Karen Cox, Kathleen Cox, Jean Cox; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Joseph A. Bragg, Sr.; twin daughters in infancy, Deborah and Kimberly; her son, Joseph A. Bragg, Jr.; one sister, Mabel (Bud) Harris; six brothers, Luther, Glenn, Neal, Darryl (Kathy), David, and James Cox.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Martha’s name can be made to Mission Bible Church Food Pantry, 412 N. Wabena Ave., Minooka, IL 60447.
A Memorial Visitation for Martha Bragg will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at First Christian Church in Morris, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Memorial Services at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Joliet at a later date. Per Martha’s request, cremation rites have been accorded.
