Princeton Road Shooting Victim Dies, Another In Critical Condition: Flossmoor Police

FLOSSMOOR, IL — Flossmoor police are investigating after two people were shot in the early morning hours Saturday. One of the victims has since died, police said Saturday afternoon.

At approximately 2:53 a.m. on August 22, Flossmoor Police responded to a report of gunshot victims in the 1700 block of Princeton Road. Upon arrival, officers saw several vehicles in the area and secured the 1700 block of Princeton Road as part of the investigation. Officers found no victims at that location.

Two male gunshot victims later arrived at St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields and are believed to be associated with the shooting on Princeton Road. One victim has died, while the other remains in stable condition. Neither victim is a Flossmoor resident. No additional information regarding the victims is available at this time.

The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is assisting the Flossmoor Police Department with this ongoing investigation.

Police said there is no immediate threat to the public and that additional information will be released as it becomes available and when appropriate.
