Dr. Christopher Davis of McHenry County College will discuss some of the recently revealed patterns, symbols, and knowledge transmitted by ancient people before the end of the Ice Age. What kind of knowledge could populations accumulate in tens of thousands of years? What has survived? Were these simple people, or do we just have simple clues left behind? There are signs that indicate ancient people did careful observations, revised and verified them through cyclic revisitations, and recorded them in permanence using rock art and myth.
