Join the Crystal Lake Rowing Club for a free one-day intro to rowing clinic open to middle school and high school athletes entering grades 7-12. Participants will learn about equipment, the basics of rowing, and row on the water with the team and coaches. Registration is required by June 4th.

Mark Stutrud, President and CEO of Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI), will celebrate LSSI Sunday on May 17, 2026 during the 9:00am and 10:45am services at Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church, 10805 Main Street, Huntley.
This special day highlights the ministry and mission of LSSI and the life-changing work it carries out across Illinois.
“We are especially honored that Mark will be joining us as our special guest at both worship services,” said Senior Pastor Mark Boster at Shepherd of the Prairie. “This will be a meaningful opportunity for our congregation to hear firsthand about the ways LSSI is bringing hope, healing, and stability to individuals and families throughout Illinois.”
“LSSI Sunday will be an opportunity for our congregation to reflect on how they are called to participate in God’s work of compassion and justice. Whether through prayer, learning more about LSSI’s ministries, or supporting their work, this day invites us to deepen our commitment to loving and serving our neighbors.”
For more than 150 years, Lutheran Social Services of Illinois has lived out the gospel through compassionate service. Their ministries touch the lives of thousands of people every year—supporting children and families through foster care and adoption services, providing housing and care for older adults, assisting people experiencing homelessness, offering mental health services, and walking alongside those navigating some of life’s most difficult moments. Their work reflects the heart of Christ’s call to care for our neighbors and to serve those most in need.
Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church, located at 10805 Main Street in Huntley, has served&nbsp;the Huntley community for over 20 years. It is led by Senior Pastor Mark Boster and Pastor Ryan Mackey.

Join a community united by respect. The Huntley American Legion Charitable Foundation invites you to a one-day celebration dedicated to our nation’s heroes.
While admission is free, every donation helps us provide critical funding for organizations such as Operation Comfort Warrior, the USO, and the Be the One Program. Come for the cause, stay for the community. We’ll have great food and an incredible soundtrack featuring The Blooze Brothers, Bucket Number 6, and LP Vinyl! And a stirring National Anthem by Jim Cornelison.

The popular Artist Series presents The Jersey Tenors, America’s hottest new tribute act, to Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church, 10805 Main Street, Huntley, on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 7:00pm.
Sponsored by the SOTP Artist Series, the public is invited to attend this free performance. No tickets are required and freewill donations are gratefully accepted.
The Jersey Tenors are the newest Opera/Rock Mash-up sensation, creating an explosive blend of iconic opera classics alongside rock ‘n roll greats like Queen, Elton John, and Bon Jovi, to name but a few. They will raise the roof with their powerful voices and before you know it, the audience will be singing along with their favorite tunes.
They are also “Jersey Proud” and don’t forget where they come from. Their performances highlights some of Jersey’s finest like Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, Frank Sinatra, Bruce Springsteen, Kool and The Gang, and even “Jersey” girl Whitney Houston.
